5 out of 5 stars WORTH INVESTING IN THIS ORIGINAL BRAND   June 11, 2010
OFFERZ-4-YOU (United Kingdom)
Others have tried to imitate, but this ORIGINAL Bialetti is made from Heavy Gauge Aluminium, Deluxe quality that will last you a lifetime. So spending a few extra £'s on this item, is really worth the investment.

5 out of 5 stars Great coffee maker   June 9, 2010
Niknac (London, UK)
After numerous holidays in Italy, drinking perfect coffee has become an essential part of my life! I initially bought a Bialetti Mukka Express - Silver Edition which was a horrible mistake - while it initially made wonderful coffee, it leaked badly and eventually stopped working. So, determined that I should still have decent coffee, I tried this 'Moka Express 6 cup Espresso Maker' and have never looked back. It's simple, rugged, has no moving parts, and is easy to keep clean. I love it! However, how it is supposed to make 6 cups I'll never know! I manage to get one standard size mug out of it. I guess the 'six cups' refers to tiny espresso cups! There are several cheap copies out there, but the Bialetto is better made and feels much nicer. And, the coffee it makes is perfect!

5 out of 5 stars Great little coffee pot   April 22, 2010
Sussex Life (UK)
I had one of these that wasn't a Bialetti and although the coffee was fine the build was flimsy and it leaked. This one makes delicious coffee, the build is solid, the sela are watertight and it pours beautifully. I have the 6 cup version which makes a big mug of coffee or enough for 2 cappucinos.

3 out of 5 stars WELL MADE, BUT FAR TOO SMALL!   April 9, 2010

This pot is very well made and makes great tasting coffee, but it is far too small to make, for example, a medium sized cappuccino from. If you want to just have one medium sized espresso, then this is ok, but when it said one cup, i thought it meant that it made enough coffee to at least half fill a medium sized mug, instead of less than an inch in the bottom.

Since using this pot and seeing that it is so well made and does indeed make great coffee, i have ordered a '3-cup' one which hopefully will be much more suitable for making what i am interested in making, cappuccinos or lattes in a large mug.

If you are looking to just have an espresso in the morning, then this is the size for you, but if you want to make a longer drink, i.e. a latte etc, then the 3-cup one would be the one to go for.

5 out of 5 stars Great coffee maker   January 31, 2010
Mr. J. E. Carroll (Ahton in Makerfield, UK)
Never had or used one of these coffee makers before. I was fed up with bland filter and cafetiere efforts so I bought the 6 cup Bialetti.
I did my reasearch and looked at reviews on here and found them very helpfull. I also bought a Bodum milk frother and got some Tesco Finest Columbian Supremo Roast and Ground Coffee.
Firstly, I found the 'six cup' gave a max of 2 healthy mugs of coffee. If you want more... go another size up!
The Bodum frother is very good.... I fill to the live or just over with semi skim or skimmed milk, 2 to 2min 30seconds in the microwave (just the glass jug) and it is hot but not boiling... then froth it up.
Pack the coffee gently down with the bottom of a smaller mug or glass and dont over fill the pot with water, just fill to the line groved inside the pot. The pop on the stove to boil on a small ring.
I fill 2 mugs to about half full leaving a table spoon in the pot as this can be bitter and spoon in all the milk.
Best coffee I have ever made..... tried other types of coffee but tesco gets the nod for now.
This is a great option for a special coffee... highly recommended.
