Sub Standard July 18, 2010 Dissapointed Bought one of these yesterday unpacked it and was realy surprised at how cheap some of the parts are, the trivet is a bit of bent wire which makes the basket unstable, the rivets holding the handles on are already starting to rust, the seperators in the basket are so flimsy I've bent them already and the basket handles don't fit properly. Also it is a good job I kept the baskets from my old presure cooker as this cooker only comes with one making it impossible to cook enough for the whole family.I whish I had spent my money on a cheaper version the quality couldn't bee any worse. Prestige used to stand for quality not any more sadlyPrestige Smartplus Stainless Steel Pressure Cooker, 6 Litre
Prestige Pressure Cooker July 14, 2010 SB Product received as per description but it took time (6 days) to be delivered to a London postcode (E14). Wish they were a bit more fast. Anyway, satisfying experience.
Prestige Pressure Cooker July 7, 2010 Moucher Had a stainless steel pressure cooker for over 25 years. What a difference this new one makes! No wobbly weight to put on top. The pressure valve is built in and variable too. 8lbs or 12lbs. Nice stainless steel. Easier to clean. The cooker comes quickly and efficiently to pressure with little or no steam loss and allows depressurisation at the flick of a lever so your can halt the cooking almost immediately and safely. Useful if you want to add something half-way through which needs less cooking time ie. spuds or veg to a gammon joint. So far I am very happy.
Comes with a recipe book which was quite amusing. They have to fill it somehow I guess but who would ever cook fish or pasta in a pressure cooker?
Happy cooking.
Really pleased June 8, 2010 beejay (Derbyshire) First time with pressure cooker and found this one to be excellent. Paid more for stainless steel product but well worth it and with all the safety features is very reassuring to use.
wonderful can make braise steak in 20 minutes May 24, 2010 I. Owen (London, England) My pressure cooker is the best thing I have brought this year you can cook a whole chicken (cut up) in 30 minutes which would normally take 1 to 1 & 1/2 hours in the oven. No juice is lost and the liquid can be used for gravy or stock so no waste.
