Chopper August 5, 2010 Will This product chops the coffee beans not grinds them as you may be forgiven for thinking as it is labeled a "grinder" The blades spin round inside chopping the same coffee beans until it is chopped to a set size not crush the beans until it fits through the grinder teeth. Ok it may sound picky but chopping beans can scorch the coffee and wont give an even texture to the grinds, Bits in your cafeteria coffee and unused lumps in your espresso. Pay a little moor and get a proper burr coffee grinder, Cuisinart Professional Burr Coffee Mill an extra £15 on Amazon but can be found cheaper. Then sit back and enjoy your coffee.
Hopeless June 24, 2010 Christine Fisher I find this grinder very hard to use and not for people with weak arms! You have to press really hard to make the grinder work. It was so bad I sent one back but this one is not much better.!
Coffee Beans Grounded June 14, 2010 J. Guest (Southport, UK) Was a little unsure of this product as the reviews to date were quite wide-ranging in their praise v criticism. However, went ahead and bought this model for my son, a coffee aficionado. What a joy! First, delivery was made within 48 hours. Brilliant service. Second, the instructions were straight-forward and the machine, up and running within minutes, performed exactly as promised. The knack is to use a little more pressure than you'd probably expect in pushing down the lid, but it truly is simple to use, extremely quick, and easy to transfer the ground coffee into the filter/espresso container, etc. A small tip - buy beans to match your taste. My son likes strong coffee so, hard as it may be to believe, Ikea coffee beans (honestly - yes - Ikea!!) produced a rich, smooth coffee - excellent for an espresso, or as a base for a cappuccino. Slightly less robust and more mellow, but with a delicious nutty flavour - try Lazy Sunday beans from Taylor's of Yorkshire. So, all in all, a splendid purchase and highly recommended.
Poor grinder June 6, 2010 George (UK) The one I bought was useless.
It did not grind properly. Large amounts of coffee remained at the bottom of the pot ungrinded in large bits.
I tried a few times but the result want always the same.
The same problem has been reported in other sites as well. I have returned it and do not want to use the same grinder again.
I also agree that it is rather difficut to activate the bottom, but this was not my main problem.
I do not recommend it.
Never Grind about the Coffee! May 3, 2010 Mr. R. Porter (UK) It's Simple!
Beans go in. There's a -Max- line.
Top goes on. It falls & Twists, once clicked in place simply push down on top of it.
It's Grinds it at amazing speed & ease, & you feel pretty cool doing it pro aswel!
Once ground to your preference, remove the Lid & the Whole compartment comes out! So you just tap it into an Air tight Bag or Plastic container.
-DONE-
Additional: It comes with a Brush (that thing sticking up!) & doesn't have a really long cord either. Compact, efficient, Simple & Powerful!
