When I ordered this fan I was not expecting anything too grand as it has such a low price. I was pleasantly surprised with the fan I received. I has now given many hours of quiet reliable service. My only gripe is that the flex is very short so I am having to use it with an extension lead (but that is a problem with most products these days).

Have owned this fan for less than 2 months.
I was looking for an inexpensive fan to cool myself during the summer months, trawled Amazon and found this. Ordered and arrived promptly, assembled easily, though the base did not screw tightly. No big deal as it was just the base. Turned on the fan, and the noise level was acceptable. Sits on the floor near my couch, and been happy with it...until my 11 month old leaned on it and it tipped over.
Shortly after that, the fan became more noisy. I tried to unscrew and re-screw everything, but the noise remained, like something was loose. Eventually lived with it, until the other night when I had to turn it off in the bedroom as it was just too noisy.
Next day I found out that the grill near the motor has snapped away from the motor itself, and looking very closely, the grill is made up of very thin grill wire, easily bendable. One little accident with the baby, and it breaks. Tells you alot about build quality. It didn't fall even 2 feet on the ground. It was sitting on the floor.
I'll get another fan, but will do so at John Lewis, which comes with a warranty at that.
ps: the photo on this page does not even closely resemble the fan that I received from the seller.

Bought this fan for my sons bedroom the best thing about this is its safe, which i was worried about, as its guards are safe enough for my 4 year old son, and in total the performance good not excellent.worth for the price.
