Travel Kettle Ideal for Older Person September 3, 2010 markmyword49 I purchased this item for an 83 year old aunt because standard sized (1.7l)were too heavy for her to lift with safety. This has turned out to be just what she needed. It has sufficient capacity and is light enough for her to use safely.
Does the job! August 27, 2010 Pagan1000 I bought this kettle to make use of the electric hookup facility in our campervan rather than having to use gas. It does the job beautifully: it is lightweight, fast and small but plenty big enough to make drinks for two people. Can't fault it.
Russell Hobbs 14178 Travel Kettle August 16, 2010 Clive Works well and looks tidy. It was bought to replace an old Cookware one that had packed up.
One advantage with the Russell Hobbs one is that the heating element is flat on the bottom of the kettle which means it is easier to get rid of any limescale or crud that builds up. Only negative is that you cannot uplug the kettle itself from the lead, which means you have to either unplug it at the socket or pour water in from another container (if your lead will not stretch to the tap).
morning cuppa August 9, 2010 nandy
fabulous kettle for those hotels abroad who have never heard of that first cuppa in the morning, you know the one you cannot function without. this little kettle is lightweight and dosen't take too long to boil. we wouldn't go away without it now it stays in the suitcase ready for the next trip.Russell Hobbs 14178 Travel Kettle with Boil Dry Protection
