The actifry is an excellent addition to a healthy eating lifestyle. Chips either frozen or homemade are great, fluffy on the inside and crispy on the outside with great taste. A choice of oils and seasonings whilst cooking makes some truly tasty potato dishes from chips to wedges. A healthy option the children will adore. Not just for chips, a range of foods can be cooked, although I have not yet tried.

I have had the Actifry for about 18 months and has been an asset to the kitchen, big but the fan motor has burnt out so it is now of no use at all. I would have expected it to have lasted longer that that.
I don't feel I want to fork aproximately £150 for another if the life span is so short.

I purchased this product to cut down on fat 13 mmonths ago. I saw it liked it and ordered it from Ideal world. It worked ok I probabley used it once or twice a week. But today I put a few chips in for my lunch. I then heard a loud crackling noise coming from the kitchen,. when I went to see what it was there was a horrible smell and black smoke coming from the back of my Actifry. No-one from Ideal World or the any other phone numbers they gave me the run around with wanted to help. So now my 13 month old actifry will go in the bin. It's the last time I 'll buy electrical goods online...

This is the second fryer we have purchased from Amazon as they offered the best price on both occasions - one for ourselves and another as a house warming gift for some friends of ours. They had seen how ours worked and how good the chips and other food products were.
The chips are fantastic - low fat which is great for my husband as he has a minor blood pressure problem and this along with other things we are doing certainly helps to manage this. The chips are crispy and good quality (we have on occasions even used ready made chips and wedges etc. straight from the freezer, with an even smaller quantity of oil and these are good too).
We have also fried sausages and bacon in it and have tried some of the recipes in the book we got with the product these are great also.
In conclusion great product, great chips etc. and great for healthier eating with no drawbacks on quality of the product or how it cooks.

It really is an excellent product. From chips to chops. No grease or smell and easily cleaned. Componants go in dishwasher. I had to send mine back at one point and missed it badly until it's replacement arrived. There was a problem with the vent at the back. A design fault I think but the newer models have been altered. Great customer service. I still use mine after almost 3 years. It gets used at least 3 times a week.
