Fogarty pillows - great value August 30, 2010 Wizard Great pillows at a great price and the free delivery makes them a wonderfull buy
Fogarty Medium/Firm Feather Pillow Pair With Protectors August 30, 2010 LittleCarlos (London, England) I purchased these pillows in May of this year and the first thing I noticed was the foul smell which I had read of in reviews but ignored due to it only being mentioned a handful of times. I emailed the company and they suggested that I air them out, I done this for roughly two weeks and although the smell improved I could still smell something.
I decided to use them anyway and placed them under my other pillows, after three days I was forced to remove the pillows and change my bed because the smell had spread. I would recommend looking at Woolworths (now an online store) for a better selection of pillows.
COMFORTABLE BUT NOT GREAT QUALITY August 26, 2010 ELENI 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
Product description: 2 feather pillows 74 x 48cm, Filling - curled duck feather- 100% feather, Cover - 50% polyester / 50% cotton, and 2 machine washable pillow protectors made of 100% polypropylene.
I always use feather pillows and I find these pillows quite comfortable; they are fluffy and at the same time they provide good support for head and neck. However, I would not characterize them as medium/ firm; I think they are more medium to soft. They are ok now, but considering that they are not that firm and that feathers have been coming out from the first day, I am afraid that I will need to replace them soon.
The major problem is their quality; the cover is made of 50% polyester which really makes me unhappy and if that was mentioned in the product's description I would not have bought them. Also the very cheap, 100% polypropylene pillow protectors are not at all acceptable, as they look more like travel covers for shoes then something to sleep on. I was planning to buy a mattress protector from Fogarty, but now seeing this quality, I will look elsewhere.
I noticed that a lot of people had a problem with the smell; I am used to feather pillows and I think that they had the normal smell, but I know that people who do not normally use feather pillows can sometimes find it disturbing. Usually the smell goes away after a couple of weeks, but you might consider airing them for a few days, or perhaps something like a lavender pillow might help. I really don't know what else to suggest on the matter, only that some people love feather pillows and some can't tolerate them at all; it is just a matter of preference.
Fogarty Pillows August 24, 2010 Stephen Whilst the pillows themselves are great the problem is the SMELL. I have left them outside to air, sprayed them with fabreeze and even sprayed them with scent. There is still a smell but now it is acceptable.Fogarty Medium/Firm Feather Pillow Pair With Protectors
Bit disappointed August 23, 2010 RachelCo 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
Bought these based on price and the fact they had great reviews... but I'm disappointed with a couple of things. Firstly they're really quite firm rather than medium, but most annoyingly - they smell horrible! The only way I can explain it is like sawdust/hamster bedding?! Really nasty.
