Product Description
Egg-Per'fect Colour Changing Egg Timer changes colour as the eggs cook.
Sits in the saucepan with the eggs.
Soft and hard boiled eggs cooked perfectly every time!

Graduated scales show when eggs are soft, medium or hard by sensing heat instead of time. The sensor accounts for number of eggs, the amount of water, even the altitude at which the eggs are being cooked.

5 out of 5 stars Egg timer   March 10, 2010
Tricia (Essex England)
This is eggscellent ! Works every time.

I like my eggs medium -cooked and am very pleased with the result.

Highly recommended.

3 out of 5 stars Egg perfection?   March 8, 2010
Sarah J (Cornwall...UK)
I followed the instructions to the letter, but found that my soft boiled eggs were nearly all medium to hard. So a little disappointing for the first use. However...I will try again. Perhaps it would be better with fewer eggs...I needed a dozen perfectly cooked soft boiled eggs all at the same time. I won't give up!

1 out of 5 stars Not so good   February 28, 2010
Mr. Leonard Whelan (Oxted UK)
Very disapointed with this egg timer it did not work at all for me firstly i was unable to see it properly in the boiling water. I wanted my eggs medium so i waited until it showed med and then took my eggs out it took nearly 8 minuits to get to the med mark which meant the eggs were hard boiled.

3 out of 5 stars Egg Timer   February 25, 2010

It's OK! That's about all I can say.
I bought one to avoid the hapzardness of boiling eggs using the microwave as a timer, but have discovered that using this egg timer does depend on whether your definition of a 'soft' boiled egg is the same as the inventors!
I have always thought of a 'soft' egg as still having the white slightly runny (like snot, as my children so succinctly put it) - which I don't like; but with this, a soft egg has a hard white, and a runny yolk. just right!
A 'medium' egg according to this timer is vitually hard boiled; a cause of major disappointment at breakfast time!
Once you've 'synchronised' definiations, it works, but it does involve some trail and error (and over-cooked eggs).

It certainly has helped me when boiling eggs and need to be in different cooked stages.
