The Culinare One Touch Can Opener is very safe and easy to use. I tear away the paper around the top of the can because someimes it can get wrapped around the cutting wheel. The batteries can easily be replaced (the can opener slides apart). To clean, wipe the cutting blade with a damp cloth. I've owned mine for about six weeks now and I won't be using a mechanical opener again.One Touch Automatic Can Opener

This product has made my life so much easier, I suffer from osteo-arthritis and opening cans took so long and was very painful. Not any more, this product virtually does the job itself, I can't sing its praises enough. It was indeed a bargain!
