1 out of 5 stars TERRIBLE, HEAVY, SLOW...   December 27, 2008

I bought this product after reading all "great" reviews... it was a mistake.
The blender is very heavy, has a very, very small bowl for grinding that for some reason is called "grinding mill" - it must be a joke. The "free standing stand" keeps falling down and it is difficult to clean the blender - the food stays in those useless tiny parts. I can't think of any positive thing about this product. In the description of the product they forgot to write it has only 200W! It's slow comparing to much cheaper and better ones with 750W. I am not using it ever.

5 out of 5 stars The most wonderful blender/mixer there is.   November 19, 2008

I have owned this product for about 10 years and it has been wonderful. It was called Megamix then and it was white plastic and not as powerful as this model. Mine finally wore out tonight so I have purchased this one with no doubts whatsoever. It turns ice cold skimmed milk into the consistency (and taste suprisingly) of double cream with no fat. It chops, blends and whips with no effort. It can even turn oil and eggs into mayonnaise which most blenders can't. A definite good buy and you will use it often. Great for dieters and cooks. (One of which I am not but still love the product).

Fantastic item, when it first arrived I thought it was a bit over rated, then I gradually overcame my fear and started to use it more and more, now it is a piece of kitchen gadget that is never out of my hand, so versatile. Would not be without now, I am even buying one for my daughter for a CHRISTMAS PRESENT.

5 out of 5 stars Fabulous piece of kit!   August 9, 2008

I have this Bamix and highly recommend it. In fact, you know people say things like, "oh you get a "blender" and it ends up in a cupboard and you never use it!" Well, with this one, you will use it just about every day if you enjoy cooking. And if it's stored as it's meant to be, on the stand provided, then you WILL use it every day! I DO!
The quality speaks for itself - I am always recommending it to family and friends. I love making cakes and always use it to mix the ingredients together. My cakes are always light and fluffy and the envy of others!
I love the way it whizzes up mayonnaise in a jiffy for a fraction of the price of a jar and you can vary the taste with different mustards. I also use the grinder to make fresh breadcrumbs in a fraction of the time it takes to get out a liquidiser (from the cupboard!)
Another great thing is that it is backed by a 10 year guarantee so don't worry about the insurance offered for 22+ - it's not necessary. Simply keep your receipt and send it back if it goes wrong.
To be honest, I've just had mine replaced as one of the speed buttons kept sticking -it was probably due to some food stuff behind the button but to be frank, it was no problem sending it back and getting a brand new one in return. Excellent service!

5 out of 5 stars if it's good enough for Gordon..   May 22, 2008

This is a well conceived and made bit of kit, it makes difficult sauces/'cappucino' with no fuss, it is easy to use and clean. the Ramsey cd is very helpful; He says that each of his restaurant stations has their own.
So much better than the good but cheaper alternatives. Buy one, get some eggs and you'll be making real mayo and bechemel in no time.
One of only a few kitchen Gadgets i would replace if it would (unlikely) fail.
It's quite possible to take off your finger pulp if you change ends without turning off the power, be careful!
