5 out of 5 stars Coffee Perfection   December 22, 2008

This is the perfect coffee maker. It is compact and simple to use. It is also one of the cheapest Nespresso machines on sale and yet there is no compromise on quality. I started using the Nespresso system 15 years ago with an automatic Krups machine. Now, I prefer to measure each cup individually with the manual system and the milk frother on the automatic machine was always too much bother and not very effective. To heat milk, better to use the microwave and if you want froth, the Bodum frother is very effective.

Another reviewer said this was lazy coffee, and in a way, they were right, but it may be lazy, but its mighty fine.
The 'Nespresso' setup is so professional, so easy, and so stylish, it all adds to the image, and thats before you even taste the coffee.

I always struggled to get the right taste with standard coffee machines, or struggled to get any consistency with taste, or flavour, but with this machine, its been perfected by experts.

I would whole heartedly advise anybody to buy this machine, or for that matter, any nespresso machine.

Many thanks nespresso, you just made me like coffee that little bit more.

5 out of 5 stars Perfect Espresso for the Lazy Coffee Lover   May 1, 2008

I consider myself a bit of a coffee snob. When in restaurants, I scan the bar area to see if they have a proper coffee machine and an employee who might have had some barista training. I do not enjoy drip coffee. Instant is out of the question.

I also consider myself one of the laziest people on the planet, so I was dismayed to see how much work actually goes into producing a gorgeous cup of espresso. There is the measuring, temperature control, proper tamping of the coffee grounds, and the cleanup operation -- way too much work for the likes of me.

Enter the Krups Nespresso XN2001: The perfect solution for the lazy coffee lover. This lovely machine heats the water in seconds and produces a perfect cup of espresso (or Americano-type coffee if you choose) in one minute. There is no measuring or tamping because you use Nespresso's perfectly measured capsules. Granted, they are slightly expensive (about 25p each), but they are incredibly easy to use and product a perfect cup of coffee. There are lots of varieties, too, so you never get bored.

If you love good coffee but can't be bothered faffing about with actually making it, this machine is tops. I am in coffee heaven.
