Replaced my old faithful Brita jug last week with this one. Its brill looks great and stylish too. The new maxtra filters are excellent (and the older classic were great) the water tastes lovely. Very pleased with it, the price was good and the extra filters are a bonus too!

This is a great filter.
I've used Brita (and other brands) for decades. This is by far the best implementation I have seen.
It is easy to refill with one hand, the flip lid is smaller than previous and therefore doesn't get in the way in the sink, flips easy and locks neatly.
The cartridges are the best yet, no pre-soaking, no need to keep them submerged etc.. just plug and go. Fantastic!
The plastic is good quality and strong. It is one sturdy unit.
It is easy to hold, pour etc.. and the spout is no mess, no chaos, unlike some previous spouts.
IT FILTERS THE WATER REALLY WELL - does a really good job of it. The UK water is pretty gross with all the limescale etc.. but all that is removed, nice.
The design of the internals is vastly improved for dividing the water that is filtered and the water about to be filtered. No more overflow - in past models this used to make the filter float out of its chamber. Very good.
Comes with spare cartridges, excellent. These things are worth quite a bit of money, and they are free.
The sports bottle however is ridiculous, the lid on it WILL NOT STAY SHUT - you put that thing anywhere but on a shelf, and it is going to open and spill. Whoever thought it out is an idiot. No doubt they designed and produced it and then realised the stupid thing doesn't work so they give it away. Can be used around the house I guess. If it had a strong lid it would be great for travel being light and strong. Don't be put off by it, the rest of the deal is excellent. Maybe a replacement screw top lid would make this a great water bottle.
In summary, the best design yet highly worthwhile.

Much improved on previous model, particularly the hinged lid, as we dropped & broke the lid which had to be removed so often for filling.
Very good value with the extra free cartridges & sports bottle.
