Onions without tears! March 8, 2010 Sarah J (Cornwall...UK) This was a present for my daughter and she has given excellent reports of this little chopper. She is very happy with it indeed. Very well reccomended.
WOW March 6, 2010 Mrs. Y. Manson (Spain) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
It is fantastc.I can't believe anything as compact as this could be sooooo good. I have an all singing all dancing Kenwood KM001Chef that I use for bread (also fantastic),a food processor that I have had for about 25yrs.
BUT this mini chopper is so small it lives on my worktop which means I use it for things that I wouldn't be bothered to take a big one out of the cupboard for.
After 42 yrs of being married, I can't think of anything else in the kitchen I could rave about as much as this.Well worth having....... don't know how I've managed without one !!
little bit of magic March 2, 2010 Bought this for my elderly Mum who was having problems with arthritic hands. She has found it to be great for chopping vegetables etc for soups and other dishes. Very useful little gadget
Poorly made product March 1, 2010 J. Pank (UK) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I wonder how many of these 'little wonders' Delia managed to get through in the making of her cheat program!
I would love to know what the failure rate for this product is. I have owned it for two weeks and used it 5 times. The 300 watt motor whirrs away and the blade remains stationary. The plastic 'socket' to locate the blade has been worn away by metal spindle. Even if spares are available, the design is so poor that it will certainly fail again unless the unit is redesigned. Ok if you are only going to use it to chop garlic.
A bit Fragile March 1, 2010 Mrs. Beverley J. Rendall (Somerset UK) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I bought my mini chopper after watching Delia on TV as I absolutely hate chopping onions. Initially I was really pleased with it as it did chop really well. However 8 months down the line I've come to the conclusion that the little bowl that you have to click into place, before putting your blade piece in, breaks far too easily (the base lip). Over the months of fairly light use (2 to 3 Times on avg) I've managed to break 3 pieces off and yesterday I managed to break a piece of the of the plastic right inside the casing of the chopping blade itself, in other words it's now completely unusable.
I don't consider myself to be particulary heavy handed, I just think that an item that is as likely to be as popular as this, should be a lot stronger. Overall I am a bit disappointed with this product. One final note, does anyone know of a supplier for replacement parts for this item, the main motorised unit part of this is fine, as is the lid to the bowl. Thanks if anyone can help.
